Clark County commissioners approve routine resolutions including radios, IT services, herbicide contract, bridge bids and fee changes

At the March 18 meeting the Board approved multiple routine resolutions by unanimous roll call, including a $149,992 radio purchase, AT&T/FirstNet services authorization, SunDog Analytics contract amendment (+$10,000), $948,312 juvenile RECLAIM grant acceptance, $448,640 herbicidal spraying award, NRCS lease amendment, vehicle disposals, and updated Dog Warden fees effective March 20.
The Clark County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve a series of routine but substantive administrative actions during the March 18 meeting. Highlights include procurement, contract amendments, grant acceptance and fee schedule updates:
• Radios: Resolution 2026-0206 authorized a contract with Commercial Communications, Inc. to purchase 29 Kenwood portable radios and accessories for $149,992.00 (Permanent Improvement funds).
• Communications services: Resolution 2026-0207 authorized the county to acquire AT&T/FirstNet Mobility and cellular services via the State of Ohio DAS contract (amounts vary; contract effective until DAS expiration/revocation).
• Sheriff IT services: Resolution 2026-0209 approved Amendment #1 with SunDog Analytics, adding $10,000 for training and increasing the contract to $185,260.00 (General Fund).
• Juvenile grant: Resolution 2026-0210 accepted a $948,312.16 RECLAIM grant from the Ohio Department of Youth Services for FY 2025–26.
• Herbicidal spraying: Resolution 2026-0211 awarded the 2026 herbicidal spraying contract to Opterra Solutions, Inc. for $448,640.00.
• Facilities and leases: Resolution 2026-0213 accepted Lease Amendment #8 for NRCS space at $831.34 per month ($9,976.12 per year) through July 31, 2030.
• Vehicle disposals: Resolution 2026-0214 authorized online-auction disposal of a 2025 Ford Explorer (VIN 1FM5K8AC1SGB55766) and a 2019 Dodge Charger (VIN 2C3CDXKT4KH676732).
• Fees: Resolution 2026-0220 updated Dog Warden fee schedules (boarding, redemption, microchip, vaccinations and adoption prices) effective March 20, 2026.
Each item was moved, seconded and passed by roll call with Commissioners Lohnes, Patterson and Rittenhouse voting Yes. The board also authorized advertising bridge bids, approved travel allowances, acknowledged the treasurer’s investment report and authorized administrative adjustments and then-and-now warrants recorded in the minutes.
