The Board of Public Works approved a one‑year partnership agreement with the Monroe School District covering the new Athletic Complex. Parkland Supervisor Grama described the proposal as a written version of longstanding "handshake" arrangements: city crews will perform tasks such as skinned infield maintenance, scoreboard setup and batting‑cage assembly, painting and field repairs in exchange for the city's continued access to school gym spaces for recreation programming.
