Ottawa County approves employee probation completion and promotion
The Board approved Shannon Lajti's completion of her probationary period with a $0.25 hourly increase effective Feb. 3, 2026, and promoted Ashton Schroeder to Maintenance II effective March 9, 2026 at $25.80 per hour; both actions passed unanimously.

The Board approved two personnel actions during the Feb. 26 meeting. First, the Board accepted the recommendation of the Director of Job & Family Services to recognize Shannon Lajti's completion of her new-hire probationary period and a $0.25-per-hour increase effective Feb. 3, 2026. "This action is taken upon the recommendation of the Director of Job & Family Services," the meeting record states.
