Sewer modeling flags pinch points; 20-year and 6-year projects listed

Carla said RH2 completed a comprehensive sewer system model using the GMA growth allocation and identified locations where additional facility improvements are necessary to accommodate projected flows. "They put the new growth in with existing flows and determine, you know, kinda where pinch points are," she said. The plan lists approximately 20 sewer projects for the 20-year planning period and about 10 projects in the 6-year CIP, with seven projects specifically identified to address modeled deficiencies.
Staff said the updated sewer system plan will be finished later this year and that a comprehensive plan amendment may incorporate additional technical findings in 2027. Funding and implementation for sewer projects will be managed through enterprise funds using GFCs, debt instruments and developer contributions.
