Public Works Administrator Tim Eisenbarth asked the board for two permissions to advertise requests for bids during the May 4 meeting. The board voted to advertise the Old Post & Lewis Road project and to solicit bids for a new EMS building consisting of a 75x50 prefabricated metal building (PMB) shell.
Deloyce McKee moved to go out to bid for the Old Post & Lewis Rd project; Gary D. Yenzer seconded and the motion carried 4-0. Gary D. Yenzer moved to go out to bid for the new EMS building (75x50 PMB steel building shell); Merl Page seconded and that motion also carried 4-0. The motions were recorded in the minutes; no public opposition or amendment was recorded at the meeting.
The decisions authorize procurement steps to solicit contractor proposals. The minutes do not record estimated construction costs, bid timelines or funding sources for these projects; follow-up procurement scheduling and funding details will be handled by Public Works and county administration.
