City staff introduced Ordinance 26-40, a concept-map amendment to the Built PUD covering roughly 10.5 acres on the southwest side of State Road 32 near Gray Road. Lauren Gilley Hemteig said the amendment reconfigures internal circulation, consolidates two access drives into a single access on Republic Street, and accommodates existing encumbrances (a diagonal pipeline, a drainage easement, and a Duke transmission line). She said there are no changes proposed to permitted uses.
Staff noted Area B of the site will return to the council for more detailed review before development. A public hearing is scheduled for August 8 at the APC meeting. No public comments were recorded tonight.
