County ratifies $215,006 network-switch purchase to replace outdated infrastructure

The board ratified IT's procurement of Cisco network switches for $215,006.31, under the capital budgeted amount, to replace outdated switches across Green River facilities and accepted the vendor selection.

IT Director Tim Knight told commissioners that the county’s planned $240,000 capital switch-replacement project came in under budget after vendor negotiations. The original quote was about $274,410; the vendor adjusted pricing and the county accepted AM&O (state contract vendor) for $215,006.31 plus shipping. Commissioner Toman, serving as IT liaison, moved to ratify the selection; the board approved the ratification unanimously.
