Erica Bridges reported that FM 552 had a supplemental agreement approved in court on May 12 and that a kickoff meeting is being scheduled. She said FM 549 was under construction with right-of-way preparation and traffic control in place. On FM 35 the 90% schematic has been submitted to TxDOT and staff expect a public meeting in July or August 2026. "The bid was opened on May 1, and we have an apparent, low bidder," Bridges said of Crenshaw Road, adding that award was expected soon and construction could begin this summer.
Separately, several participants flagged procurement slowdowns tied to contract language and missing exhibits; staff acknowledged that some contract submittals lacked required exhibits or signatures and said those items were being resolved before execution.
