Board notes community forums for needs assessment, plans for team-building, and welcomes new member

Staff announced four CNA community forums in October (Oct 5 Battle Ground Library; Oct 14 virtual; Oct 22 Vancouver Library; Oct 26 Camas Library), a rotating team-building work group to start as an information item in September, and introduced new board member Varun; next CAB meeting is Sept. 28.
Rebecca Rice told the board the community needs assessment survey data has been analyzed and staff will hold four community forums in October to share results and gather qualitative feedback: Oct. 5 (5:30–7:30 p.m.) at the Battle Ground Library; Oct. 14 (9–11 a.m.) virtual; Oct. 22 (5:30–7:30 p.m.) at Vancouver Library; and Oct. 26 (5:30–7:30 p.m.) at Camas Library. She asked board members to attend at least one forum and said flyers and calendar invites will be distributed.
Clover Spears described the team-building work group plan: task force members will rotate facilitation and circulate materials ahead of meetings; short discussions centered on team building and equity are slated to begin as an information item in the September meeting. New board member Varun introduced himself as an engineer who works with local veterans and students and said he hopes to learn how to get more involved. Chair Rob Perkins announced the next board meeting will be Monday, Sept. 28, 1–3 p.m., at the Center for Community Health (and online). The board adjourned at 2:32 p.m.
