Council reviewed proposed changes to the purchasing policy that would clarify which city officials can sign contracts. A presenting council member said the draft would align Stafford with peer cities and suggested department directors be authorized to sign contracts up to $25,000, with contracts above that threshold signed by the mayor or mayoral designee.
