Jayna Hintz, Area Extension Director, told the Calumet County Extension Education Committee on Jan. 13 that FoodWIse, the federally funded nutrition-education program, is no longer provided in Calumet County following reductions in the Federal SNAP‑Ed budget. Hintz presented the UW Extension Calumet County Impact Report and identified the program change as a key local impact of federal funding reductions.
