County introduces intake tool to prioritize growing congregate meals wait lists

Brynna Watters-Moffitt told the committee there are seven congregate meal sites—Barnes, Cable, Cornucopia, Port Wing, Iron River, St. Louis and Timeout in Washburn—and that attendance and referrals continue to grow. "The meals are well attended and referrals for the program continue to increase," she said.
To manage demand, staff rolled out a new assessment tool that classifies referral needs as high, medium or low so that, if a wait list becomes necessary, those with the greatest need are prioritized. Watters-Moffitt said program referrals continue to rise and that staff will use the collected data to evaluate waiting-list priorities.
