Plano ISD names two elementary principals and three district administrators

At the April 21 work session the Plano ISD leadership introduced several administrative appointments. Ryan Steele announced Jessica Malloy as the new principal of Meadows Elementary, summarizing her Plano ISD career path from classroom teacher to district curriculum specialist and assistant principal.
Ryan Steele and other leaders also introduced Dr. Amy Weems as the incoming principal at Hedgecoats Elementary; Dr. Weems will transition from her current role at Rose Hager Elementary and brings 24 years in education including a doctoral degree and superintendent certification. Ivan Cantu introduced James Arroyo as the district's legal services administrator, noting his 29 years in public education. Dr. Patrick Tanner introduced Dr. Patrick Johnson as the district's new director of information security, citing his cybersecurity leadership experience and certifications.
Board members and the superintendent welcomed the appointees and recognized family members in attendance. These appointments were presented as part of the consent/administrative agenda items and celebrated as continued leadership development within the district.
