Mark Letham, introduced as the newly appointed county commissioner liaison to the Wahkiakum County Fair Board, spoke at the Jan. 14 meeting and said he would like to see the fair "get into the black" financially. He acknowledged unfamiliarity with the fair’s grant processes and participated in a back-and-forth discussion about budgeting and how grants work.
