The Whitman County Planning Commission convened at 7:00 a.m., approved the minutes from its previous meeting and moved into a workshop session focused on a draft solar-energy ordinance.
"Move we accept the minutes from last meeting," Commissioner Chris Mulhouse said; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Chair Brian Davies then closed the regular meeting and the commission proceeded into workshop format to focus on ordinance definitions and code alignment.
Staff presented routine updates before the workshop. Assistant county planner Grace DiBiase summarized forthcoming administrative items and noted delays on an administrative-use permit while the applicant secures legal access. The session established the agenda for a sustained review of definitions and conditional-use procedures with an expectation that the commission would make incremental votes as sections were reviewed.
