River Street Networks says TDS acquisition will speed Amelia County broadband buildout; construction to begin early Q1

Greg Coltrane, vice president of business development for River Street Networks, updated the board on the broadband project and the company's Nov. 1 closing on TDS properties in Amelia. "We closed on that November 1," he said, describing the acquisition as central to the company's regional operations and noting they had onboarded six TDS employees into River Street.
Coltrane outlined near-term work: permitting and design for Manborough central-office cabinets, lidar field work, integrating TDS customer data into River Street's billing platform with an anticipated April 1 system cutover, and anticipated Q1 construction (the presenter said February was the likely start). He said the acquisition and integration should speed installation in the county's rural areas and pledged to provide more granular timelines at the address level once mapping and database integration is complete.
Board members pressed for a street-by-street timeline for specific addresses that had reported persistent outages. River Street staff said the analytics integration would enable consumers and board staff to click a dot on the public map and see estimated start and completion dates once the TDS customer database is fully integrated.
