The Selectboard approved a reduced contract with the Sheriff's Department for 23 hours per month (the medium plan) after the department raised its rates. Tony Porter moved the motion and asked the department to change its approach, seeking "stricter enforcement of speed patrol service in town (more tickets, fewer warnings) and to shift their schedule." Carin McCarthy seconded. Eric Cota recorded opposition; the motion nevertheless carried.
