Umstot, Sunderland’s library director, told the Selectboard and Finance Committee on April 1 that the town faces certification risk if proposed budget reductions exceed state-mandated requirements. "Ms. Umstot, the library director, discussed the potential loss of the town’s library certification if budget cuts exceed state-mandated requirements and she explained the waiver process and consequences of decertification," the meeting record states.
