Committee creates Data Entry Supervisor position after desk-audit upgrade
Summary
Following a desk audit, the committee approved creating one Data Entry Supervisor–Health, Grade 11 position to reflect duties performed by an incumbent Secretary/Administrative Assistant (Grade 8). The change came after a formal review by Human Resources.
The committee approved a motion by Legislator Gabrielle Hill on Feb. 18 to create one Data Entry Supervisor–Health, Grade 11 position after a desk audit found an incumbent's duties exceeded her current Grade 8 role. Deputy Commissioner Lisa K. Lahiff told the committee the employee requested the audit and that Human Resources concluded the duties merited an upgrade.
"After review by the Department of Human Resources, it was determined that the duties she is performing are at a higher-level grade and should be a Data Entry Supervisor-Health, Grade 11 position," Lahiff said. Committee members approved the position creation unanimously; staff indicated the employee is currently in the role and that the desk audit initiated the change rather than creating a new externally posted position.
