Potter County approves replacement elections server after vendor price increase

Bridal (county finance/clerk staff) told commissioners the originally attached budget amendment listed an earlier quote and that a new vendor quote had increased by about $2,000 in the interval between agenda posting and the meeting. Staff said the elections department planned to cover the increase from existing line items for election workers and that the court approved the purchase and corresponding budget change by voice vote, 5–0.
Staff emphasized the replacement was necessary to keep the department in compliance with recording mandates and to avoid administrative risk from a failing server.
