Ruston council approves Master Fee Resolution update, increases many fees 5%
The Ruston City Council on Sept. 17 approved Resolution 797 to update the Master Fee Resolution: a 5% across-the-board fee increase, a 5% administrative charge calculated per invoice (replacing a $173 flat application fee), deletion of a proposed street-tree permit fee, and legal review fees moved to passthroughs.

The Ruston City Council approved Resolution 797 at its Sept. 17, 2024 meeting, updating the city’s Master Fee Resolution to reflect higher administrative costs and inflation. The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Councilmember Hedrick, seconded by Councilmember Syler, and passed 4-0.
