Superintendent Dr. Homan updated the committee on enrollment projections for the coming year and said the district’s current total is 6,081 students, compared with 6,064 at the end of FY26.
"We're sitting at, 6,081 students total," Dr. Homan said, noting that the district experienced a net drop of 97 students from October 1 (FY26 baseline) to the end of the year, but that incoming kindergarten registrations and summer move-ins commonly change the October 1 official count. He said the projection sheet will be updated as more enrollments are processed and that a noticeable jump in kindergarten registrations is typical in August.
Dr. Homan offered to circulate additional updates as the district processes summer enrollments and any resulting changes to staffing or program allocations.
