Board to adopt townwide cybersecurity policy; IT services RFP posted for competitive bids
The select board reviewed a townwide cybersecurity policy to secure insurance benefits from Maine Municipal Association and voted 5–0 to post an RFP for IT services that includes response-time SLAs, backup and cybersecurity work; Duo-like multi-factor authentication for Trio was already implemented.

Select board members discussed a draft townwide cybersecurity policy—covering password/account practices, permitted uses, incident reporting, monitoring and training—prepared with input from the town’s IT consultant. Speaker 4 said MMA would provide higher-level insurance if the town adopts a comprehensive cybersecurity policy and told the board the policy would apply townwide across departments.
