City Manager David Larson provided an update on the Public Works facility at 104 East South Weber Drive being constructed by Valley Design and Construction, Inc. He reported that insulation for the vehicle storage building is 100% complete and the metal section of the material storage building is under construction; near‑term tasks include a floor drain, masonry work and rain gutter storage system installation.
Larson told the council the project is scheduled for completion in August 2025 and that bond payments to date total $2,113,969.54 of $9,000,000, or 23 percent. Staff will continue to provide progress reports and the council noted the timeline and remaining budget as the project advances.
