Springdale planning commission recommends easing banner limits in Public Use zone
The commission voted Jan. 21 to recommend Ordinance 2026-02, expanding allowed banner displays into the Public Use zone and modifying the limits to permit up to 12 display periods per year in that zone, with each display capped at 14 days and a 14‑day gap between displays.

The Springdale Planning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance 2026-02 on Jan. 21, 2026, proposing changes to Chapter 10-24-7 of the town code to add permit requirements and allow banners in the Public Use (PU) zone. The commission’s motion modifies the staff draft by allowing banners in the PU zone for "a maximum of 14-day display, 12 per year, and a 14 day between the display of each of the banners," a change moved by Commissioner Paul Zimmerman and seconded by Commissioner Kashif Bhatti. The motion passed unanimously with Chair Jennifer McCulloch joining the vote.
