The Mountrail County Board convened the County Equalization meeting at 11:00 a.m. with Tax Director Kim Savage presenting the 2026 assessments and specific parcel recommendations. The board approved reducing parcel #58-0042300 (Parshall) from a true and full value of $2,572,300 to $1,282,800 due to a double assessment of condominium units. Several other adjustments and exemptions were approved for parcels in Debing, Liberty, McGahan and Spring Coulee townships.
A contested motion to remove $148,400 from parcel #61-0094408 in the City of Stanley (for personal property) and to adjust the structure value from $1,730,900 to $1,582,500 passed 3–2, with Commissioners Ruland, Rice and Olson voting yes and Commissioners Hollekim and DeGroot voting no. The board recessed the Equalization meeting to continue on June 18 at 8:00 a.m.
