County Administrator Rebecca Young presented multiple personnel items at the July 7 meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Kristine Schwargel, Child Protection Social Worker, effective June 26, 2026, and approved motions to backfill the Child Protection Social Worker position and a Case Aid I position.
Young introduced new Deputy Recorder Maggie Skovlund (hired May 11, 2026) and Sheriff Dingman introduced new Deputy Steve Henriksen (hired June 1, 2026). Young also requested that the new Environmental Services/Planning & Zoning hire be recognized as a department head rather than a coordinator based on qualifications; the board approved that recognition. All personnel motions passed unanimously.
