Executive Committee recommends $1.61M in projects for County Board consideration

Chairperson L. Schlenvogt presided over the Executive Committee meeting on March 3, where members reviewed staff-recommended capital and equipment projects totaling $1,610,000 against $3,000,000 in available project funds. County Administrator Dzwinel reviewed the packet of recommendations from committees and outlined project priorities for submission to the County Board.

The list included Justice Center lobby, hallway and front counter work; Axon camera and Taser purchases; a CSU package scanner and security door; Locution Solutions fire dispatching; a rescue boat repaint; Justice Center parking lot, sidewalk and light pole base repairs; municipality firewall upgrades; county wireless access points; furnace replacements at HH Peters Youth Camp and Waubedonia Park; multiple park road and paving projects; Virmond Park caretaker house roof and siding replacement; design and engineering for Clay Bluffs/Cedar Gorge and AFNP buildings; a State Hwy 60 OIT corridor extension; parks equipment such as a zero-turn mower and playground equipment for Waubedonia Park. Mr. Dzwinel and Sheriff Knowles answered committee questions specifically about Justice Center work.

Supervisor P. Foy moved to approve the recommended projects as presented; Supervisor E. Stelter seconded the motion. The committee approved the recommendation unanimously. The committee will forward the approved submittals to the County Board for final action.
