Board executes SAFE Unit MOU and extends senior-services contract for 2026

The Board authorized execution of a Memorandum of Understanding establishing the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office S.A.F.E. Unit Oversight Board. The MOU formalizes procedures and responsibilities among the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office, Coroner’s Office, and the Clermont County Fire Investigative Unit to support and operate the S.A.F.E. unit.
Separately, the commissioners executed an extension of contract with Clermont Senior Services, Inc. to provide services to senior citizens during Calendar Year 2026 in conjunction with the county’s 1.3 mill tax levy for senior services. The extension keeps other contract terms in force and is contingent upon adoption of the Annual Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2026 and required purchase order issuance.
