Representatives for NextEra updated the Pratt County Board of Commissioners on the battery energy storage project’s construction timeline and compliance work. Alan Anderson and Adam 'Cody' Akers (via Zoom) said several compliance obligations tied to the Road Use Agreement, Conditional Use Permit and Decommissioning Agreement were close to completion, and that members of the battery construction team would begin arriving in Pratt County for initial staging later in the week. A formal pre-construction kickoff meeting was scheduled for June 23.
