The Vernon County Commission voted May 23 — recorded in the May 27 minutes — to hire Erwin Construction to repair a portion of the sidewalk at the Vernon County Fairgrounds for $2,000, with a completion deadline of Thursday, May 29. Commissioner John Shorten made the motion and Commissioner Joe Wilson seconded; both voted to approve.
