Trina Wally, executive director of the Resource Conservation District, presented the RCD's approach to fuels reduction, watershed protection and the newly mapped West Point Wildfire Defense System. She emphasized that projects typically follow a multi-year timeline: concept development, securing funding, landowner approvals, environmental surveys and public-bid construction. "This process can take up to 5 years," Wally said when setting expectations for timeframe and next steps.
