Fire chief: state reimbursements arriving, funds earmarked for apparatus replacement

The Elko County fire district reported Oct. 15 that reimbursements submitted to the state are beginning to arrive and that some of that money has been earmarked to replace and refurbish apparatus.
"We're starting to get our reimbursement submitted to the state. They're starting to come back in," said Matt, the district chief, who said the district expects vendor quotes for replacements and refurbishments "hopefully by December." He told the board he will bring additional items to the board to authorize equipment refurbishing or replacement as quotes are received.
