Plan Commission approves 2027 budget requests, will present to County Council
The Miami County Plan Commission on June 10 approved a proposed flat-budget submission to County Council that includes targeted increases: $885 for ICC membership, $2,500 for weed control, a $125,000 line for a zoning ordinance update, and a new Beacon GIS licensing line item.

The Miami County Plan Commission voted June 10 to approve its proposed 2027 budget and forward it to County Council. Planner Corey Roser said County Council requested a flat overall budget, but staff sought modest targeted increases to cover necessary memberships, weed control, a significant zoning ordinance update allocation, and GIS licensing. Scarlett Graves moved to approve the proposed budget package and present it to County Council; the motion passed unanimously.
