The Hemphill County Commissioners' Court opened bids on Sept. 9 for a pickup for Precinct 4 and accepted a sole bid from Ware Chevrolet Inc. The court recorded two options from Ware Chevrolet: an in-stock 2025 Chevrolet 3500HD Silverado priced at $53,015.48 and another available in October 2024 for $53,340.96; the court approved the in-stock option at $53,015.48 after a motion by Commissioner Nicholas Thomas and a second by Commissioner Dawn Webb.
