Fayette County commissioners approve routine bills, appropriation adjustments

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously March 16 to approve the minutes from their previous meeting and to pay a slate of submitted invoices, including large line items for county utilities and infrastructure work. The motion to pay the bills was moved by Commissioner Donald L. Fleak and seconded by Commissioner Tony Anderson; roll-call votes were recorded as James D. Garland, aye; Tony Anderson, aye; Donald L. Fleak, aye. The bills list included items such as Cargill Inc. for $5,961.25 to the Rattlesnake Water District Revenue account and multiple contract payments to Kelchner Inc. for Rattlesnake water and sewer work listed in the claims register.
At the same session the board also approved several budget housekeeping items. Commissioners authorized an intra-program appropriation modification of $2,000 within the CEBCO Wellness Program, transfers correcting 2025 interest allocations ($1,878.31 to MVGT interest for Rattlesnake/Bluegrass and $57,174.63 to Bluegrass Phase III interest), and an additional appropriation of $1,416.49 for Sanitary Services Applied. The board established a special revenue fund, Lead Safe Ohio 2023, to track grant receipts and eligible expenditures for that program. All motions passed by unanimous vote.
