Elk County approves $59,664 bridge engineering agreement, purchases roller

The Elk County Board of Commissioners approved an agreement with Kirkham, Michael and Associates, Inc. for engineering services to conduct an FAS and off-system bridge inventory and appraisal, in the amount of $59,664. The motion to approve the contract was moved by Commissioner Jake Liebau, seconded by Commissioner Perry Russell and carried 3-0.
Public Works Supervisor Don Sanders told the commission he purchased a 2023 Bomag roller from Berry Tractor for $31,900 and reported that the State’s floodplain mapping updates will be effective June 2028. Sanders also noted that one Public Works employee is out on FMLA. The board approved the engineering agreement during the meeting without recorded dissent.
Commission action: “Commissioner Liebau moved and Commissioner Russell seconded the motion to approve the Agreement for Engineering Services FAS & Off-System Bridge Inventory and Appraisal through Kirkham, Michael and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $59,664. Motion carried 3-0.”
