Board approves replacement gates for Sheriff's Office after safety briefing from undersheriff
After undersheriff Justin Ames explained security needs for jail sally-port control, the board approved the Artistic Fence Company quote (~$86,481) to replace inoperable gates and identified capital funds to cover the remainder.

The board reviewed two vendor quotes to replace automatic drive-through gates at the Sheriff's Office: Artistic Fence Company at $86,481 and Infinity Fence at $210,376. Undersheriff Justin Ames said hydraulic lift gates (Infinity) are substantially more expensive and that Artistic Fence Company's design represents an economical, compatible upgrade to the current system.
