Commissioners approve front-yard variance for Tony Keller

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners voted Sept. 23 to approve a variance requested by property owner Tony Keller that would allow an accessory structure within the front yard at a parcel identified in the county packet.
Jay Doss, who assisted Keller with the variance application and identified himself with McClure, Ramsey, and Dickerson, told the board the property “is completely surrounded by woods,” not visible from the road or neighbors, and that Keller stopped work immediately after realizing the slab put him out of compliance. The planning commission recommended approval of the variance.
After a short public hearing with no speakers in opposition, the board moved and carried a motion to approve the variance by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.
