The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners approved a developer site-improvement exemption for the Stoneridge subdivision, granting a 75% reduction on the site-improvement associated land value for the remaining parcels that remain in the developer's name.
Developer Steve Campbell explained he had sold three lots and retained the remainder; staff clarified the exemption applies only to parcels still owned by the developer. "It's 75% of the market value that we place on all like or similar lots," planning staff said in describing how the county applies the developer exemption; commissioners moved and seconded the approval and the motion carried by roll call.
Staff will monitor changes in parcel ownership; if a lot transfers to another owner the exemption will no longer apply to that parcel.
