The Director (S5) told the board the library has completed two grants and installed an accessibility station to better serve patrons with assistive needs.
"We have officially completed 2 of the grants that we've been working on, the career center grant," S5 said, adding that purchases were completed and information had been forwarded to the counties. S5 also said the library finished an "ALA grant, around accessibility" and described a "new accessibility computer station, which has lots of assistive tools and other things like that." The Director noted the equipment aligns with Oregon Library Association standards.
Members welcomed the update and asked that details be included in upcoming communications. No budgetary figures were provided during the report; members asked staff to include grant follow‑up and any maintenance or training needs when reporting back.
