Council adopts several zoning-code changes, including permitted use and enforcement amendments
Summary
On June 16 the council adopted multiple zoning-related ordinances—including SBPC #2739 (permitted uses), SBPC #2740 (site deficiencies subsection for conditional uses) and SBPC #2741 (enforcement and penalty provisions)—following Planning Commission recommendations and unanimous council votes.
The St. Bernard Parish Council on June 16, 2026, adopted a series of ordinances to amend the parish zoning code. Ordinance SBPC #2739-06-26 amended Chapter 22 (Section 22-6) concerning permitted uses in business and industrial districts. Ordinance SBPC #2740-06-26 added a new subsection (22-8-4) addressing site deficiencies within conditional use requirements. Ordinance SBPC #2741-06-26 amended administration, enforcement and penalty provisions under Section 22-10. All three ordinances carried unanimous council votes after motions by councilmembers Patrice Cusimano and Ryan Randall.
