Health administrator meets commissioners; administrator recommends two nurses

Cheryl Hoberecht, Pawnee County Health Department Administrator, met with the commissioners to get an update on hiring a new Health Department Administrator and to discuss clinic staffing. When commissioners asked whether one full-time nurse would suffice if an administrator were hired, Hoberecht said "two nurses would be better," explaining that one nurse can remain in the clinic to give vaccines while the other conducts outreach clinics.

Commissioner Miller also reported he had spoken with the Barton County administrator about interviews for a potential joint Health Department Administrator, indicating continued regional coordination as the county considers administrative and staffing arrangements.
