District mandates two‑factor authentication after internal cybersecurity audit

"Two factor authentication… is now up and running and mandatory for all staff throughout our district," said Greg Dezania, who added the change requires staff to use an authorization app or text code in addition to passwords. Dezania said the audit is checking systems for updated software and best‑practice configuration and that some updates involve reprogramming or server patches. The district acknowledged that the change is operationally challenging for users and for TIS staff but framed it as a best‑practice step to secure sensitive student data.
