At the public comment portion of the July 28 meeting, resident Patsy Williams told commissioners she and neighbors in the Primrose/Great Lakes area have lived through a house fire and remain without a promised local fire department. Williams said the county approved a fiber/bond-related promise in 2016 that she believes included fire stations, but the district still has no station despite growth and new homes.
