A commissioner asked whether staff were working on ordinance modifications; staff replied they were close and requested the extension so legal review could be completed. The board approved the staff recommendation and authorized the chair to sign the extension.
The extension is procedural and intended to preserve the status quo while county staff and legal prepare an ordinance for future board consideration.
