Patrick County library reports strong summer-reading participation and bookmobile use
Blue Ridge Regional Library staff reported summer-reading registration begins June 1; the Patrick branch ran 34 programs with total attendance of 320 and the bookmobile had 9 programs with 172 participants, including strong adult engagement on the bookmobile.

Library staff updated the Board on regional library services and focused on the upcoming summer-reading program. Melissa Chapman (voice 13) described the program as a statewide reading challenge that runs in June and July, with registration starting June 1, and said participants receive prizes and are entered into drawings by age group.
