In an afternoon priority‑setting workshop the board and staff discussed how limited recurring revenues constrain county services and why focused economic development and infrastructure investments are a higher priority. County budget staff presented a 10‑year general fund analysis showing a growing structural gap and said the county can reasonably expect $10–$15 million a year in additional recurring revenue, largely from property tax growth.
