Meriwether County staff told the board that the county's temporary moratorium on data center development, set to expire Aug. 23, 2026, needs a 90‑day extension so staff can prepare a proposed data center ordinance and complete legal review. Staff asked the board to extend the moratorium through Nov. 21, 2026; the board approved the extension by motion and voice vote (SEG 492–514).
