Community group alleges DPS's DSA closure study lacks required cost analysis
A public commenter representing Durham for DSA told the joint boards that DPS and consultants produced an inadequate feasibility and cost analysis for the proposed DSA closure/relocation, and said a recent public hearing should be considered invalid for lack of required documentation.

John Hodges Koppel, speaking for Durham for DSA, criticized DPS's process around the Durham School of the Arts (DSA) closure/relocation work. Koppel said consultants provided a "frankly embarrassing" closure study and that the study failed to include a required feasibility and cost analysis under the applicable state submission forms.
